Coins, nails taken out of farmer's stomach

Rajpal was operated on twice to get all the junk- metallic- from his stomach.

A 34 year old farmer in India by the name of Rajpal Singh has had hundreds of coins, nails and several metallic objects surgically removed from his stomach after complaining of stomach ache.

Rajpal was operated on twice to get all the junk- metallic- from his stomach. On Wednesday, April 15, 2015, the Indian farmer went to the hospital where an endoscopy revealed the items in his stomach which included nuts, bolts and batteries also.

How did these items get in his stomach in the first place? "I used to gulp down coins and metals with fruit juice or milk" said Singh. "Due to family problems I had slipped into depression and got hooked onto this weird habit" he further told Caters News.

Rajpal Singh was operated on for more than nine hours.“Doctors have told me those sharp needles would have punctured my intestine and I would have eventually died. I feel much more relaxed now. I am never going to do this again" admitted the farmer.
