Over-protective dad hilarious picture with his daughter's boyfriend goes viral

A father's picture with his daughter's boyfriend is drawing laughs and praise online.

Ricarra Schock was having a pre-dance photo session with her boyfriend when her father Benjamin decided to get in on the fun.

But it wasn't his daughter that Benjamin wanted a picture with. The funny father stood behind Ricarra's date as they clasped hands, mimicking the pose the couple had just struck for the camera.

Ricarra's mom Sharee, a professional photographer, placed the image of the couple with Benjamin and Ricarra's date side-by-side, adding the caption 'Whatever you do to my daughter, I will do to you,' a joke he had once made.

'My husband is a big-hearted teddy bear,' she told Buzzfeed. 'So it was his way of being silly with a pinch of "I'm watching you, buddy.'"

The photo has been a viral hit since Schock posted it on her personal Facebook page and has since racked 3 million views on Imgur.

Sharee said the family was shocked the photo has received so much attention, and hope that it shows 'the love and protective nature of a dad with his little girl' in a playful manner.

The mother-of-four said this kind of lightheartedness has been essential for the family as her husband battles multiple brain tumors.
