The Los Angeles Police Department has recommended a charge of felony for a man the vandal.

A Donald Trump hater, James Otis, 52, may serve up to three years in jail for destroying a Hollywood star belonging to the politician.

Otis reportedly dressed up as a Los Angeles Department of Transportation worker, and beat Trump's star with a pickax.

According to Fox News, the Los Angeles Police Department have decided on recommending a charge of felony for the offender.

This is expected to lead to three years behind bars according to reports.

Otis, who is an activist and an heir to the Otis Elevator Company is one of the numerous people who have expressed a lack of support for Trump who has to compete with Hilary Clinton in the 2016 US presidential election.
