There's this blog that talks about food a lot. Well, that's because they are a food blog, mostly. I saw one photo of one of their visits to a restaurant on the Island.
Best believe the name of the restaurant is not an "Iya this" or "Oluwa that".
In fact, the name of the place is Art Cafe. At first I thought, what business does Art and Cafe have together?
Because you know, when I think of food, I'm thinking about this;
I was wrong.
This ambience of this place is so woke and hip, it's not a regular terrestrial sturv. Back to this food blog. They shared a photo of the Breakfast menu, and it is at this moment I suffered six heart attacks.
The food is fine. It is like a Picasso-Michelangelo something. But the egg... my people this egg literally costs ₦1000 per egg. I mean, the menu reads;
"2 eggs of your choice - ₦2,000"
And we all know 2 eggs can't belleful somebody. So that means you'll have to buy other things you know. I mean, even the menu reads ₦13,000 for two people and ₦25,000 for four. They even tried sef. ₦1,000 discount.
You see, when I saw this menu, I just started doing maths in my head. Don't judge me, but my mind just went straight to my White Amala joint in Ebute Metta.
Let's call it White Amala Cafe.
This is my formula;
Amala: ₦150
4 pieces of Goat Meat: ₦400
Bottled water: ₦50
In total, everything is ₦600.
Fam, by the time I'm done, I won't be able to walk. It's going to take me another 30 minutes for my body to adjust before I can lift one leg.
Now, I'll still be able to come back to this place twice, before I run out of Art Cafe's egg money.
So I'm just here wondering why I'll not go to White Amala Cafe or even choose Mai Shayii Cafe if I'm craving eggs.
But oh well, I guess these things are not for Ajepakos to understand.
