Woman jailed for knocking police officer off motorbike

Chelsea Rowe was reportedly driving on the wrong side of the road when she hit officer Paul Briggs off his motorbike as he rode to work.

Miss Rowe has now been jailed for one year after causing the catastrophic accident near the Birkenhead Tunnel in Merseyside, England in July 2015.

The accident reportedly left the officer in need of round the clock care, as his family watches him battle for his life on a daily basis.

Rowe admitted to the crime, accepting the blame for her actions while apologising for the mistake that is going to cost her a year behind bars.
