Blackface is one-third of the legendary Afrobeats group Platainshun Boiz comprised of 2Baba FKA 2Face and Faze whose music contributed to the early growth of Afrobeats.

After Plantainshum Boiz split, Blackface (real name Augustine Ahmedu) would be locked in a battle over the ownership of 2Baba's hit single 'African Queen' which he claims he wrote while the group was still together.

Blackface also claimed that he wrote most of the singles that rocketed the boy band to mainstream success albeit his claim has been continuously denied by the other members of the band.

His former bandmates aren't the only ones whom Blackface has accused of illegally sampling, interpolating, and copying his music. He has pointed fingers at some of Nigeria's biggest stars whom he accuses of intellectual theft in what has become a recurring claim.

Here are some of the artists Blackface has accused of stealing his songs.

Blackface's first major accusation came in the long and bitter dispute over the ownership of 2Baba's hit single 'African Queen' which he claims he wrote. After a lengthy public dispute, Blackface would later be credited as a songwriter on the single.
