Niyi Akinmolayan’s film to premiere December 15

The Nigerian filmmaker revealed this information alongside a picture collage via his personal Facebook account describing it as the "best news ever."

“BEST NEWS EVER!!!! I am thrilled to announce that FilmHouse Cinemas have graciously given us the use of their brand new State-of-the-art First in Nigeria iMax Multiplex for the premiere of our highly anticipated short film, ROOM 315”, Akinmolayan wrote.

“We are very excited to show our short film to the world at one of the premium screens on the 15th of December 2016.

“Also, the film will be released online at the same time and we will livestream the entire event. There will be Red carpet reception and an after party at the Terrace bar. I can't even contain this excitement. Filmhouse have been very good to me and were critical to the success of "The Arbitration" and "Out of Luck". “Many thanks to the executive director Moses Olumuyiwa Babatope; Your support of nollywood has been a big boost to our craft. Thank you. who wants a ticket?”, he posted on the social media site.

Directed by Akinmolayan and produced by Emmanuel Uduma, "Room 315" is an open project which has its talented cast and crew providing their services for free. It features actors like Bimbo Manuel, Tina Mba, Greg OJ and Jessica Opara.

The short film follows the story of a psychotherapist, his patients, their sessions and his past.

It was written by Abosi Ogba, who won the scriptwriting competition held by Akinmolayan in July, 2016.
