There are quite a number of Nollywood actresses who are impressing the audience with their top-notch performances and are ready to take the Nigerian entertainment scene by storm.

1. Toni Tones

Tones was the star in "Gidi Culture," and later she ruled the screen in "Rumour Has It," before taking up the hilarious role in Bovi Ugboma's "It's Her Day."

2. Ini Dima-Okojie

Ini Dima-Okojie made her acting debut in 2014, in the telenovela "Taste of Love." Over the years, the actress has proven her worth in movies/TV series such as "Skinny Girl in Transit," "North East" and "It's Her Day."

3. Somkele Idhalama

The actress who won the 2017 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Trailblazer Award, stared in three of 2016 most critically acclaimed movies - "The Arbitration," "93 Days" and "The Wedding Party."

These three movies all selected to screen at the Toronto International Film Festival as part of the festival’s city to city spotlight.

In 2016, the festival inducted its TIFF International Rising Stars and Idhalama was chosen alongside OC Ukeje.

In 2017, she starred in "The Guest," "Ojukokoro" and "Gidi Up 3."

4. Zainab Balogun

There's a good reason why people are talking about Zainab Balogun.

From "Verdict" to "Entreat, "Ojukokoro" to "The Wedding Party," Balogun has steadily delivered outstanding performances.

She is set to make her debut on the small screen with Mildred Okwo's "Bankers NGR."

5. Ade Laoye

For a year, Laoye wowed the audience with her role as Oye in "Hush." She scored her latest triumph by landing a role in the upcoming Kunle Afolayan movie, "Tribunal."

6. Rahama Sadau

Following her expulsion from the Hausa film industry, Sadau eatured in the EbonyLife TV series "Sons of the Caliphate," where she plays Binta.

She also stars in the 2017 "Hakunde," "Ajuwaya," "Light Will Come," and"Sons of the Caliphate season 2."

7. Nancy Isime

She proved her worth as the supporting cast in the 2016 movie "Gidi Blues." Isime has also featured in productions including "Hire a Man," "On the Real," "This is It" among others.
