Yvonne Orji calls her Nigerian parents about Emmy nomination and their reaction is everything

Orji will be battling with other actors for the 'Best Supporting Comedy Actress' category in the next Emmys Awards.

The movie star took to her Instagram on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, where she shared a video of her parents reacting to her Emmy nomination.

In the video, Orji's parents expressed delight as their daughter shared the news of her nomination.

Speaking partially in the Igbo dialect the movie star couldn't hold back tears as her parents praised and prayed for her.

Orji will be battling with other actors for the 'Best Supporting Comedy Actress' category in the next Emmys Awards which is billed to hold later in the year.

The actress is getting her first nomination for her role as 'Molly Carter' in the TV drama series 'Insecure.'

Born on 2 December 1983, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, Orji, grew up in Laurel, Maryland in the United States.

After graduate school, Orji moved to New York City to pursue a career in comedy.

In 2015, she landed the role of Molly on Insecure without an agent or any real acting experience.
