Media personality IK Osakioduwa has come out to deny the rumours that he contracted coronavirus and attended the 2020 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice (AMVCA) award.
There have been rumours going on that a Nigerian celebrity attended the AMVCA after contracting coronavirus during a recent visit to the United Kingdom.
There's not been anything to that rumour and Osakioduwa who hosted the awards' ceremony has come out to say he is not the person.
"I usually would not address this but the rumours are making the rounds. People passing messages around that I went to the UK and got the coronavirus took it to AMVCA, took it to some clubs," the TV host wrote on Instagram.
" I haven’t been to London for a very long time. I haven’t been to that club… I don’t have coronavirus."
The rumours concerning the celebrity that attended the AMVCA comes amidst rising fears of the coronavirus in the Nigeria.
As at the time of this writing, Nigeria has 42 confirmed cases of the COVID-19, the disease caused by coroanvirus.
