Jay Z has emerged victor in the epic battle with Chauncey Mahan, who was holding the masters to and albums hostage.
ROC Nation boss wins lawsuit on 'The Life and Times of S. Carter' rights
The president of ROC Nation, Jay Z has won the lawsuit on the ownership of the masters of two of his albums, The Life and Times of S. Carter and The Dynasty.
Mahan, a sound engineer on the albums, had once claimed ownership and stashed boxes of tracks in a San Fernando Valley storage facility after which he sued Jay and ROC Nation after he was caught by the police.
And just recently, a judge just shut him down, ruling he waited way too long to sue, thus, Jay Z owns his stuff outright.
The Life and Times of S. Carter went triple platinum and contains songs like and Jigga my N****.
