Actress Dies At 62 After Losing Battle With Cancer

Carol Ann Susi who starred in the popular television comedy The Big Bang Theory, on Tuesday, November 11, died of cancer.

American actress Carol Ann Susi has died at the age of 62 after losing a long battle with cancer.

The actress best known for playing Mrs Wolowitz in the popular comedy sitcom Big Bang Theory, passed away on Tuesday, November 11 in Los Angeles.

Susi was born in Brooklyn and was of Italian descent. After studying acting at HB Studio in New York City, she moved to Los Angeles in the 1970s to kick start her acting career.

Carol has also made numerous guest appearances on TV shows and films since the 1970s including Coyote Ugly, Just Go with It, Becker  and Grey's Anatomy .

She also has extensive experience in live theater and voiced a character on the video game installment of CSI: NY.
