Institution set to resume academic activities

YABATECH will be re-opening on Wednesday, November 30, following the fire outbreak.

The resumption date was confirmed by the Director of Public relations Unit of the institution, Dr Charles Obi, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

Dr Obi told NAN that the second semester exam will also begin on the same day.

“Academic activities will resume on Tuesday, Nov. 29, while examination continues on Wednesday.

“As at Friday, when the representative of the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, visited the college, only two students were still on admission at the Military Hospital, Yaba.

“The college did not completely close; normal work is going except the academic activities that were suspended.’’

As earlier reported, one of the institution’s female hostel, Bakassi Hall, was engulfed in flames on Wednesday, November 23 with academic activities put on hold following the incident.
