As Covenant University prepares for its 13th Convocation, the faith-based institution deemed it fit to celebrate one of its alumni, Gloria Oloruntobi aka Maraji, but some some Nigerians on Twitter do not want to have any of that.

The University on Thursday, July 12, 2018, on its Twitter handle, decided to celebrate Oloruntobi, popular for her Instagram comedy as one of its graduates who is doing well on social media.

The school tweeted:

Hi, Meet Gloria Oloruntobi @Maraji_ Our Social Media Favorite! Our Eagles have unique talents. Lets throw it back to this special moment.

However, some Nigerians on Twitter have been reacting to the tweet questioning why Covenant University is celebrating Maraji as its social media favourite when she was not allowed to use a mobile phone as an undergraduate in the school.
