The Board's Registrar, Prof Is-haq Oloyede announced the date for the exams on Tuesday, January 9, at a stakeholders' meeting in Abuja.

Oloyede also announced that the 2018 UTME mock exam which was initially scheduled to hold between January 22 and 24 has been moved to the first week in February due to the ongoing strike by Non-academic Staff of Universities, NASU.

The Registrar said, “We are unable to access our CBT centres because most of them are in the universities and non-teaching staff are on strike,”.

Reminding the stakeholders of the new JAMB rules regarding examiners' conducts during the examination, Oloyede said “No candidates, examiners, invigilators will be allowed to enter the examination hall with wrist watches, pencils except HB pencils …and cameras”

Recall that in November 2017, the Exam Board also  banned UTME candidates from coming to exam centres with wrist watches and pens to curb malpractice cases in the upcoming 2018 UTME.
