22-yr-old Nigerian lady graduates with first class from UK University

She also emerged the best graduating student from her secondary school in Abuja.

Helen Peikumo Dickson graduated with a degree in Sociology with Specialism in Race and Global Politics.

According to reports, before leaving for the UK, Peikumo studied at the Regent Schools in Abuja where she made a name as one of the best graduating students.

She had always maintained academic excellence as she was earning top grades right from her first year in school.

In her words, “academic excellence is a minimum standard in our family, hence we are obligated to always graduate at the top of our class”.

Speaking to her uncle; Moses Oruaze Dickson, who also holds a distinction in Master of Law- LLM in International Commercial Law at the University of Bedfordshire, in addition to an MSc in Financial services management and an LLM International Business Law, after bagging his first degree, in Law, in Nigeria. He confirmed Peikumo's statement of academic achievements within the family. “Getting a master’s degree is the minimum standard for anyone in our family”, said Moses, who is currently studying for his Ph.D.

Peikumo is planning to proceed for a Master’s degree as soon as she completes her National Youth Service Scheme.
