In fact, a recent study by Pew Research Center done on new hate crimes statistics from the FBI shows that this is the highest it has ever been.
Hate crimes against American Muslims shows no signs of stopping
A new study says violence against Muslims is at its highest.

In 2001, the year of the September 11 terrorist attacks, the FBI got only 93 of reported victims of aggravated or simple assault.
The next year, the number reduced to 91, before increasing to 127 reports in 2016!

Unfortunately, physical assaults are not the only crimes that American Muslims face. The study shows that they also suffer intimidation and vandalism.
Last year, there were 144 reported victims of anti-Muslim intimidation, compared with 120 the previous year.
There were 70 cases of vandalism against Muslim in 2015 and 92 in 2016.
Generally, 2016 saw 307 incidents of anti-Muslim hate crimes compared to 154 in 2014 and 257 in 2015.
