Ibrahimovic signed just a year contract with Manchester United when he joined in the summer of 2016 and has been their best player since.

The 35-year-old has been a star at Manchester United, scoring 26 goals so far, including two in the EFL Cup final in February.

Although Jose Mourinho is hoping to tie his highest goalscorer to another year, the Swede has reportedly agreed to join LA Galaxy in the summer.

The Spanish language version of Fox Sports USA shared a photo of the striker in an LA Galaxy shirt on their verified Twitter account.

The photo though is not authentic, photoshopped from the picture of when he signed for Manchester United.

Fox say Ibrahimovic will make the striker their best ever paid player, even more than David Beckham.

The former general manager of LA Galaxy, Alexi Lalas had earlier revealed that the striker has held talks with La Galaxy.

"There have been conversations and, I think, a relationship for some time regarding this possible move,” Lalas, who left the Galaxy in 2014 told in March.

"The Galaxy are Major League Soccer's 'super club'. They do big, bold things.

“They have sexy signings, that's what they have built themselves as, that's what they sell themselves as, and this type of signing would fall right into play with that.”
