Ebola fears have again sprung up in the US as a doctor, who just returned from Guinea, has been hospitalized with symptoms of the disease.
33-year-old Dr Craig Spencer has been admitted at the Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan after returning from the Ebola-affected country 10 days ago.
Spencer, a worker with aid group Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres) was rushed to the hospital after suffering from a 103-degree Fahrenheit (39.4 degree Celsius) fever and nausea and has been placed in isolation.
The New York City Health Department confirmed the incident saying that the patient was being tested for Ebola due to fever and gastrointestinal symptoms and because of "recent travel history, pattern of symptoms and past work."
The health department has also said that it is tracing all the doctor’s contacts and is expecting the preliminary tests results in the next 12 hours.
