The Golden State Warriors are NBA champions once again after they defeated the Boston Celtics 103-90 in Game six in the early hours of Friday, June 17, 2022.
Steph Curry dropped 34 points as the Golden State rallied from an early flurry from the Celtics to be crowned champions.
The Warriors came into the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts with a 3-2 advantage and the aim to avoid a Game seven.

The Warriors were down early but great adjustments by Steve Kerr proved to be the difference in the game.

The Golden State Warriors had a slow start to Game six but would take the first quarter 27-22 to stun the Boston crowd.
It was in the second quarter the Warriors established a choke hold on the game as Jordan Poole led an incredible run to create separation between the two sides.
The Warriors took the second quarter 27-17 and a 15 point lead at the halftime break.

The Celtics responded to take the third quarter 27-22 in front of their home crowd to set up a tense final with just 10 points going into the fourth.
Led by Curry, the Warriors forced several turnovers and executed to perfection as they won the fourth quarter 27-24 to seal the win.

The Warriors core of Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green won three titles in five straight finals and returned to winning ways after missing the playoffs the last two years.

Warriors guard Curry was crowned NBA Finals MVP for the first time in his career.
The 34-year-old Curry won the title for the first time in his sixth NBA Finals trip.
