Saina Nehwal stuns Wang Shixian in Sydney

Nehwal - a bronze medallist at the 2012 Olympic Games in London - is eyeing her second title of 2014, after breaking a two-match losing streak against Wang.

In the men's singles semi-finals, Simon Santoso won an all-Indonesian clash with third seed Tommy Sugiarto 21-16 21-13.

It took Santoso 42 minutes to cause the upset, and move into a final against Lin Dan.

Lin toppled Chinese compatriot and defending champion Tian Houwei 21-19 23-21 in a thrilling encounter.
