Holly Holm has done the seemingly impossible, defeating Ronda Rousey for the UFC Women's Bantamweight Championship on Sunday.

Rousey came into UFC 193 undefeated, but was stunned by the powerful strikes of Holm at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne.

Holm took Rousey down with a kick to the neck in the second round, then pounded her face with a series of strikes to force a referee stoppage.

The 34-year-old Holm had landed a series of punches to the face in the first round and was a deserved winner.

Holm improved her record to 10-0 with seven knockouts, while Rousey is 12-1 after her first ever loss.
