RCCG leader to be conferred honorary degree in UNILAG

General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) will be given an honorary degree by the University of Lagos (UNILAG)  for his immense contributions to humanity.

Others who will be conferred with honorary degree by the university include Lt. General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (rtd) and Deacon Gamaliel Oforitsenere Onosode.

Vanguard reports that Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos, Professor Rahman Bello who disclosed this, yesterday, explained that the choice of the elder statesmen was due to their immense contributions to education and quality of life in Nigeria.

‘’The eminent Nigerians will be conferred with honorary degrees of the University of Lagos for their noticeable and immense contribution to education and quality of life in Nigeria.”

Meanwhile, UNILAG in its first phase of graduating ceremony has churned out a total of 3,104 graduates, yesterday, leaving 7,496 graduands for today  and tomorrow.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor  Rahman Bello while speaking during the convocation said that the 2013/2014 convocation ceremony will span three days.
