Psquare – Do me featuring Waje

Off their “Game Over” album, Psquare went naughty naughty on this song, with Waje blessing the song with her vocals. A colorful video to complement the song was also put out. The song rocked all the way into the Christmas and end of year, ‘disturbing the peace’ at parties and carnivals.

Asa – Bibanke

The tearful song from Soul singer Asa, connected to souls and hearts that had encountered broken relationships once in their life. The song is off her 2007 debut album “Aṣa ”.

DJ Jimmy Jatt – Stylee ft 2face, Modenine, Ela Joe

Off his album “The Definition”, DJ JJ drops a fine record featuring legendary 2face, Modenine and rapper Ela Joe. The DJ sends a strong message of doing his own thing and breaking any perceived norm.

Off his Grass 2 Grace 2006 sophomore album, this song by 2face Idibia strikes a chord in every listener’s heart. It’s one of those perfect love songs that describes a woman worthy of all that good love and affection.

Mo hits – Pere

‘’Cos I want to dance with you pere, omo ma lo ro p emo kere…”, everyone sang along to this like a baby. 2007 was the year of the Don Jazzy led Mohits crew without a doubt as far as pop music was concerned in Nigeria.

D’banj – Why me

The song off his second studio album “Run down funk you up” ran like wildfire because of its youthful appeal in terms of the lyrics. Don Jazzy’s beat also was magically infectious, especially at the intro.

2Shotz –Make them talk ft 9ice

A fire anthem from 2shotz that talked about social problems Nigeria was facing. 9ice’s indigenous flow on the chorus did the most for the song.

Faze – Tattoo girl

Off his “Independent” album, Faze rode on the tattoo kraze that was becoming a thing among youths all over and made a song about endearing himself to the ladies. It easily became a party song.

X- Project – Lori le feat. Konga

This one coming off their third album “Sierra-Naija”  rocked the dancefloors with its slangs and vernacular making it a crowd favourite. ‘Lori le odi gobe’ the hook goes. Xtreme Project aka X- Project were a group made up of two  Sierra Leone artists and a Nigerian artist.
