In a recent chat, the Nigerian boxers noted that they are about concluding their preparations for their respective encounters with their Ghanaian opponents scheduled to hold on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Lagos.

While Fijabi is billed to battle Raphael “Iron King” Kwabena King, Joe Boy will slug it out with Richard “Desert Warrior” Amefu in the two international challenge bouts that will rekindle the age-old Ghana/Nigeria sporting rivalry.

As Kwabena and Amefu have threatened to end the undefeated status of their opponents, the Nigerian boxers have also adopted the line “Ghana must go”.

Fijabi on his part said: " Kwabena will fall and bow his head in shame out of the ring and even if he asks for a rematch in Ghana, he will fall again in Accra. As far as I know, Ghana must go."

On his part, Joe Boy said: " I will send Amefu back to the desert where he belongs. We are here in Nigeria and we fight on the ring not in the desert, so he will fall in a short time."

The boxing event is packaged by Flykite Promotions for MultiChoice Nigeria and will be broadcast live in 47 African countries by SuperSport.
