Nigerian disc jockey and music producer Aderonke Ariyo who goes by the stage name DJ Soupamodel has been selected as governor of The Grammys Recording Academy, Washington D.C Chapter.
The renowned DJ took to Instagram to share the piece of good news writing:

The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences is made up of artistes, producers, sound engineers and popculture enthusiasts who are in charge of handing out the Grammys.
The organisation itself has 12 chapters in the United States and Ariyo will be a governor of the Washington DC chapter for the next twelve months.
Dj Soupamodel is also known as Africa’s first female DJ. Though she has worked alongside Wizkid, Vector, Bennie Man, Wale, she’s mostly known for her EDM, House music remixes of singles by Mavin artistes Dr Sid and Tiwa Savage.
