Excitement in the air, in anticipation of the Pope's visit

The stakes are high for the organisers. Some observers say the secret service will have to approve the designs and structure of the venue for the Papal mass.

Preparations for Pope Francis’ visit, is in top gear. The Archdiocese of Philadelphia, is putting mechanisms in place to ensure a successful and hitch free visit.

The director of communications for the archdiocese-Ken Gavin, says that a large number of volunteers have come forward and experts have been called in to oversee the organisation of the event.

Also the Department of Homeland Security, the FBI, the CIA, the Secret Service, the Italian police force, the Swiss Guard, city and state police, will be on ground to ensure safety of lives and property - Desiree Peterkin Bell, a representative of Philadelphia Mayor- Michael Nutter said.

The actual estimate of visitors for the event is yet to be ascertained, but it is estimated that 2million fans from over 150 countries will be attending the Mass with Pope Francis.
