Former Super Falcons star now coaching refugees in Sweden
After a successful playing career, former Super Falcons star Perpetua Nkwocha is currently coaching refugees in Sweden.
Nkwocha played in seven Africa Women Cup of Nations winning five of them in the year 2002, 2004, 2006, 2010 and 2014.
She played majority of her club football in Sweden and her stay there earned her a Swedish citizenship.
Now based in northern town, Skelleftea, the four times African Women Player of the Year is now helping refugees and migrants.
The 40 year is coach of Clemensnäs IF from Swedish Women's Football Division 2 but she used her spare time to coach a group of Afghan teenagers and other migrants with coaching.
"I feel that it's similar - which is why I have to try to make them happy, because I know where they came from," she told the BBC.
"I feel so glad that I connected with them and we started this project together.
"We try to make them feel welcome, try to make them feel happy, try to make them get friends and associate with other Swedish people"
The project called 'Football For All’ project, was set up by her club, Clemensnas IF in partnership with the football association and the Swedish church.
