The review was done based on the number of fans who follow the players and the result came in the favour of the 31 year-old Netherland captain

Van Persie had his name on the back of Premier league fans more than any of Steven Gerrard or Luis Suarez.

It is the second year the player will top the list of most popular players in the premiership; Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard is 4th on the list

25 year-old Mesut Ozil joined Arsenal in 2013, with lots of expectations from the German international which were habitually not fulfilled to taste, he did however pull the fans to have his name on their back, making him the 5th most popular player.

England golden boy, Wayne Rooney comes 6th, which leaves little wonder why United will not sell the player, though his exit was a heated topic before the beginning of last season.

Man City's is 7th, Juan Mata's Manchester United Jersey sold him to the 8th position.

Shinji Kagawa may not have a spectatcular performance on the pitch, expecially for much of last season, however, his link to the Asian territories grew the sales of the number 26 jersey on the back of fans.

He left Stamford Bridge after the World Cup, but Frank Lampard's Chelsea shirts sold as the number 10 in the English Premiership last season.
