The 34-year-old endured a miserable 2013-14 World Cup campaign, failing to claim a single podium finish.

However, the Italian chose the perfect time to rediscover his form in front of an expectant partisan crowd by beating Zan Kosir in Tuesday's Big Final.

Fischnaller had already beaten Anton Unterkofler, Sylvain Dufour and Jasey-Jay Anderson on his way to his showdown with Kosir.

The win is FIschnaller's ninth career World Cup victory and his first since triumphing in Rogla in February 2013.

Anderson secured third place after holding off the challenge of Rok Marguc in the Small Final.
