Sosaia Feki claimed a second-half double as ruthless NRL leaders Cronulla Sharks extended their club-record winning run to 14 matches by seeing off struggling Sydney Roosters 32-20 at Allianz Stadium on Monday.

The Sharks have been an unstoppable force since their last defeat way back in March and the three-time defending minor premiers were unable to stop Shane Flanagan's side, who outscored the hosts by six tries to four.

Trent Robinson's men took an early lead when Mitchell Aubusson cashed in on a mistake by Gerard Beale to score the opening try after only three minutes, but Cronulla hit back with a clinical finish from Valentine Holmes.

State of Origin star Jack Bird and Luke Lewis touched down for converted tries either side of Connor Watson racing away for the Roosters' second.

The Sharks led 16-10 at half-time and the influential Ben Barba, who conjured up three assists, laid on a first try for Feki before Chad Townsend rounded off a flowing move to give Cronulla further breathing space.

There were only six points in it after Dale Copley and Daniel Tupou went over for the Roosters, the latter score converted by Sio Siua Taukeiaho - who was only able to add the extras twice.

Feki had the final say, though, showing a blistering turn of foot to sprint over 85 metres to complete his double, with Townsend converting to add to the six points booted by James Maloney as the Sharks went two points clear of Melbourne Storm.
