Governors, lawmakers set to join Atiku in PDP - Frank

Timi Frank is certain that some APC governors and National Assembly members will defect to the PDP just like Atiku.

Comrade Timi Frank says ‘aggrieved’ governors and lawmakers on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will decamp to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before the 2019 general elections.

Frank disclosed this in Abuja on Monday, December 4, 2017 while reacting to the returnof former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar to the PDP.

Frank blamed Atiku’s decision on "APC’s lack of internal democracy, disregard for party constitution, irregular meeting, inability to conduct convention, no Board of Trustee and arrogance of party leadership."

While advising the APC, Frank noted that he might also leave the ruling party if things continue the same way.

His words: “It is high time APC realize that politics is about number, every youth, man or woman is important. The kind of arrogance going on in the party led some of us out of PDP in those days but we have now realized that it is even worse in APC.

"Though its already getting late but if this impunity is not tackle between now and early next year APC may witness the mother of all defections to opposition parties.

"As for me, I'm still a member of APC because I believe I have worked hard to bring about the ruling party as a young man but if the impunity does not stop, I will be left with no option.

"Not only me but some other serving governors, members of National Assembly and other known party leaders across the country have to decide their political future elsewhere,” he added.

Frank also cautioned Governor Nasir El-Rufai against making unguarded statements that might spell doom for the APC.
