Okitipupa (Ondo State) Jan. 18, 2019 (NAN) An Okitipupa Chief Magistrates Court in Ondo State, on Friday remanded a 30-year-old labourer, Sunday Fasuyi, in prison over alleged burglary and stealing of N9,500 and cell phone.

The Chief Magistrate, Mr Dickson Ogunfuyi, who gave the order, adjourned the case until Jan. 23, for further hearing.

The defendant, of no fixed address, had pleaded guilty to a three-count charge bordering on felony, burglary and stealing.

The prosecutor, Insp. Ayodeji Omoyeigha, had told the court that the defendant on Dec. 9, 2018, around 06:00 a.m. at No. 14, Akeremale St., Okitipupa burgled the house of one Iyanu Bolodeoku.

He added that the defendant stole a Canon M6 camera cell phone, valued at N7, 000 and N2, 500 cash, property of Bolodeoku.

Omoyeigha said that the offences were contrary and punishable under Sections 411, 516 and 390(9), Criminal Code, Cap.37, Vol.1, Laws of Ondo State 2006. (NAN) BAA/ENN/OU ========= Edited by Edwin Nwachukwu/Obike Ukoh
