Memphis Grizzlies man Mike Conley fatigued following match-winning cameo in NBA Play-offs
Mike Conley admitted to feeling worn out following his return from facial surgery, as he led the Memphis Grizzlies to a series-tying victory over the Golden State Warriors.
Up against MVP Steph Curry, Conley posted 22 points and drained three from six three-point attempts as the Grizzlies levelled their Western Conference series with the Warriors 1-1 in the NBA Play-offs.
Conley played just over 27 minutes of the contest - which finished 97-90 - but scored a three to put the Grizzlies 10 points clear late on.
"It felt like I played 50 minutes," Conley said, as reported by NBA.com.
"I was a liability on defense there for a while, but my team-mates lifted me up."
Having returned from injury, Conley was still in the wars on Tuesday, as he took a hit to his face, still donning a mask, from Warriors forward Draymond Green.
"I got hit a couple times. I knew what it felt like and I played through it," Conley said.
Conley also got a boost out of his hot start, which saw him sink his first four attempts.
"It was huge to see the ball go in," Conley told TNT.
"The first couple of shots I was a little bit nervous trying to get back in the motion of things, but I'm just happy the way the team performed."
