Butler produced a magnificent individual display on his way to a career-high 53 points as the Bulls saw off the Philadelphia 76ers 115-111 in overtime.

The win moved the Bulls to 23-15 on the season, the 76ers are a lowly 4-37.

Prior to Butler's stunning showing, the last Bulls player to score 50 was Jamal Crawford back in 2004.

And head coach Hoiberg said: "That's as good of a performance as I've seen. The guys hopped on his [Butler's] shoulders, and he carried us home.

"Play after play, it was an unbelievable performance."

Butler, meanwhile, was quick to deflect the praise, saying: "I got some help from my team-mates. Keep giving me the ball, telling me to score, be aggressive, just supporting me on defence. This is a team win."
