Usyk defeated Joshua at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in September 2021 to claim the WBO, WBA, IBO and IBF boxing heavyweight titles.

It was the second loss for Joshua after his initial defeat against American professional boxer of Mexican heritage Andy Ruiz Madison Square Garden back in June 2019.

"I guess maybe because English people are so behind him and we got caught up in the bandwagon too. Americans expect a lot out of Joshua."

He can do so much, that's why he's never a lost hope. He's dangerous, Joshua, because he's still f***ing learning… Joshua needs to pick up the pace just a little. He's got so much damn potential."

The comments from Tyson about Joshua comes after UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya backed his compatriot.

Joshua, a two-time former unified world heavyweight champion is expected to have a rematch with Usyk for the titles later this year.
