Tomas Berdych, Andy Murray tight-lipped on exchange ahead of re-match

Tomas Berdych said he was "looking forward" to his Miami Open semi-final clash with Andy Murray, their first meeting since the Australian Open.

Berdych was outgunned by Murray in four sets at Melbourne Park, in a tense affair that saw the Czech ruffle the Brit's feathers by speaking to him at the end of the first set.

Murray replied thereafter by occasionally celebrating in the direction of Berdych's players' box - occupied by former coach Dani Vallverdu - while fiancee Kim Sears had some choice words for the Czech's supporter group also.

After dispatching of Juan Monaco 6-3 6-4 to move into the final four, Berdych said Murray was a "tough opponent" but barely alluded to their previous heated meeting.

"Yes, it's gonna be another one this year. It goes quite fast. I am looking forward, he is a tough opponent," Berdych said.

Earlier, Murray downed Dominic Thiem in three sets, but the Scot was also keen to talk about Berdych's on-court game - and not the stoush that created headlines in Melbourne.

"Tomas is obviously a big hitter and plays lower percentage tennis, whereas Monaco uses a lot of kick serves, gets a high percentage of first serves in, plays a bit further behind the baseline and plays much higher percentage of tennis," Murray said before the Berdych-Monaco result was known.

"They're pretty different game styles."
