Selma Blair Shares Photo After MS Treatments: 'I Feel Sick As Hell'

Selma Blair is having a bad day-and unfortunately, she has the photographic evidence to prove it.

Selma posted a closeup of her face on Instagram Friday, saying she feels sick as hell. I am vomiting and all the things which are not polite to speak of, she wrote. My son ran away. From me. I have to get him to school.

Selma, who has MS, made it clear that her symptoms are linked to her treatment . The medical treatments take their toll, she continued. I am going to get through this. We do. This will pass. And to moms and dads who watch their kids sick on things we take to get better... I hold you. So glad this is me and not my child.

In case youre not familiar with it, MS is a chronic and often debilitating disease that causes symptoms like fatigue, numbness and tingling, spasticity, and gait problems, according to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS).

Fridays post is a big departure from Selmas post on Thursday about receiving intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG), a medicine made from donated blood fluids thats used to boost the immune system. In that post, Selma said that she felt at peace while receiving her treatment.

It's unclear exactly what medication and treatments Selma is using for her MS (other than IVIG), but the Mayo Clinic says that several MS treatments that are used to modify how the disease progresses can cause flu-like symptoms, including vomiting and diarrhea.

Selma has been so overwhelmingly positive about her journey with MS that its easy to forget that this is a chronic and often debilitating disease-but tbh, shes only human. The Women's Health team sends all the love and good vibes to Selma. Rooting for you, girl.
