Part of the reason why fans are so excited for season two of Big Little Lies is because of the amazing cast, and the show just wouldn't be the same without our favorite Monterey ladies. Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman , Zo Kravitz, Laura Dern, and Shailene Woodley are an integral part to the show's success, and excitement for season two grew even more when it was announced that Meryl Streep was joining the cast.

The second season will follow the cast as they deal with the death of Perry Wright, Celeste's (Kidman) abusive husband. He was killed at the end of season one after he was pushed down the stairs by Bonnie (Kravitz). While Perry was a horrible person, Alexander Skarsgrd gave an amazing performance in the series, and he later won an Emmy for the role.

Fans weren't expecting him to return for season two (you know, 'cause he's dead and all), but Kidman let it slip that he will, in fact, be on the new season. During a panel discussion for the show, Kidman said that Skarsgrd "was the most incredible acting partner, and then he came back for season two."

Whoops! Witherspoon tried to get Kidman to stop talking, but the damage was done. Kidman added that, "He has a little bit of a part in the sense of the basis of okay, Ill be quiet. He didnt abandon us. Well put it that way."

Fans suspected that Perry would appear in the show somehow (especially because Streep will be playing Perry's mother-in-law), but there's been no confirmation of those rumors until now. Expect to see some flashbacks...or maybe Perry comes back from the dead? In Monterey, you never know.
