5 fashion terms every fashionista should know - Episode 4
Everyone who identifies themselves as stylish or a fashion enthusiast, should know certain key fashion terms to hold their own in any conversation. Here are five fashion terms to know:

Also known as Y-Fronts, even when the Y shaped fly is not present. Styles are similar to those used in jeans (high rise, mid rise & low rise) and are often used when referring to briefs.
Button-down Collar:

Cable Knit:

Fishermen are found at the root of this utilitarian style; the permuting stitches are known to create a far more lasting and insulating garment. The method is used to create textured, layered looks popular in the autumn/winter seasons.
Cardigan:
A machine or hand stitched sweater front fastening (such as ties, buttons or zips), with has an open front. However, this is quite different from the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, a breed of dog or pullover sweater .
Chalk Stripe:
These are vertical lines on a suit fabric, created to look like the colour of a tailor's chalk. The lines are simple and hazy in comparison to the crisp, distinct lines of pinstripe.
