Streetwear/urban designers set to showcase in Lagos

The fashion event, the first platform in Africa will see streetwear/urban fashion designers coming together to show their latest collections on the runway.

The schedule of the event will include runway shows, informative seminars, exhibitions and the #LUFS after party put in place to create a networking channel between the upcoming and established fashion designers as well as fashion journalists, enthusiast, trendsetters, retailers and consumers.

"One of the aims of the show is to show that fashion is not just a passion, but can be used as a tool to empower the youths of Africa by creating wealth & economic growth" the organizers shared about the event in an email.

"The city of Lagos (which is a cluster of design & innovation) and also the hub of the Nigerian Fashion Industry's creative process (encompasses everything from designers, textile & apparel brands,retailers, wholesales, bloggers, market research analyst,etc.) would host the show and would kick-start a new process of empowering the youths economically through fashion" the organizers revealed.

The LUFS is the first platform in Africa that caters for streetwear/urban Fashion Designers.
