Footballers Vs Musicians!!! Photos From the ‘Play for Life’ Novelty Football Match

The ‘Play for Life’ Novelty Football Match held on the 1st of December 2012; the world AIDS day. The match was put together by Friends Africa’s Goodwill Ambassador, <strong>Emmanuel Hyacinth Babayaro</strong> (MON). The match was between a team of ex-footballers <strong>'TEAM EAGLE</strong>S' and a team of musicians and actors '<strong>TEAM ENTERTAINERS</strong>'.

According to popular Nigerian forum Nairaland, the aim of the match was to «tap into the natural convening power of Football to create a viable platform for the delivery of health advocacy campaigns and amplifying the voice for this year’s global AIDS Day theme: ‘Getting to Zero’. Meaning – Zero Stigmatization of people living with HIV/AIDS, Zero Infections! Zero Discrimination! Zero Transmission; through educating and empowering youths with information to help prevent the spread of this deadly disease.»

People that were in attendance include Celestine Babyaro, Daniel Amokachi, Nonso Diobi, MI, Dr. SID, Jay Jay Okocha, Segun Arinze and a host of others.
