How to contour to look beautiful, not 'painted'

Highlight and contour in make-up is meant to cast light and shadows to areas on the face for a beautiful and natural looking skin but these days that's being abused.

When it comes to highlighting and contouring  there should be a difference between enhancing your features and painting on a new face.
