Christ Embassy Remains Calm Following Oyakhilome Divorce Tales

News of the impending divorce of Christ Embassy Pastors, Chris and Anita Oyakhilome hit the media on Friday, August 29, 2014.

The Cable reported that the duo were heading for a divorce after Pastor Anita filed a case against her husband in a UK court.

She was said to have accused her husband of adultery and unreasonable behavior among other things.

However, members of Christ Embassy have told Pulse.ng that the reports are just rumours and nothing more.

According to a source who went to the church today:

“There was no difference in the church atmosphere. Everything was normal. The rumours have been there for 5 months so we are used to it”

Another member said that Pastor Chris and Pastor Anita attended the International Cell Leaders’ Conference 2014 in Lagos with their two children and that they looked like a happy family. The source said further:

“Pastor Chris has always been trailed by scandals and that’s one of the reasons why he doesn’t live in Nigeria anymore. People just like to spread rumours about him and this is another one of them”

The leadership of the church has remained silent on the allegations and neither Pastor Chris nor Pastor Anita has issued an official statement regarding the reports.
