Toddler dragged into the ocean by alligator
Lane Graves, a 2-year-old toddler was dragged by an alligator into the ocean while playing at the Disney Resort beach in Orlando on Tuesday, June 14, 2016.
Lane was said to be on vacation with his parents, Matt and Melissa Graves, and a 4-year-old sibling when the alligator came from the ocean to drag him away.
According to the Graves witnessed the alligator dragging their son away and fought the reptile for their son.
A team of 50 Orange County sheriffs were said to have been involved in the search for the alligator which was estimated to be four to seven feet long.
Lane Graves’s body was found on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 by the Sheriff’s department dive team.
The incident has since received negative criticism, while most compared it to the case of the boy who fell into the gorilla enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo in May 2016.
