Picture of dog with 'braces' goes viral

It is not every day you see a dog fitted with braces , but Wesley is here to show you that dogs have got perfect dental perfection like humans.

Wesley was given braces because his crooked teeth were stopping him from closing his mouth properly.

In cute images posted online by the Haborfront Hospital for Animals, the dog shows his teeth off like so many adolescent teenagers.

The images went viral quickly, with more than 285,730 shares.

The hospital added: "We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of care and interest from around the nation in our buddy Wesley.

"Dental care is just as important for the pets we love as it is for us and we are glad that his cute 'brace face' brought such interest."
