The mass defection occurred on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 in the Bwari area, Leadership reports.

The defectors were received by the State APC Publicity Secretary, Usman Adaji.

“With the numbers of decamped members in Bwari today, that means definitely victory is sure for APC, not only in this council, but in the entire FCT,” he said.

“Because, on record, we have over 10,000 decamped PDP members and we know that more are still coming,” he added.

The PDP has witnessed a mass exodus of its members since losing its ruling party status during the 2015 general elections.
