Henry Onyekuru replaces injured Samuel Kalu in the Super Eagles squad for Benin and Lesotho games

Galatasaray forward Henry Onyekuru has been brought in to replace Samuel Kalu in the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming games against the Benin Republic and Lesotho.

In March, the Super Eagles will face the Benin Republic and Lesotho to conclude their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. 

For the games, Onyekuru will replace Kalu, who has been ruled out because of an injury. 

The 23-year-old suffered a thigh injury in Bordeaux’s Ligue 1 clash against Dijon on Sunday.

Onyekuru was one of the seven players placed on the standby list and gets on the main list just a couple of days after netting a brace for Galatasaray in a league game

The 23-year-old has five goals in nine games for Gala since January.
