The police are questioning a teenage mother, Cody-Anne Jackson who is only 19 years of age on suspicion of murdering her 2-year-old daughter.
The toddler, Macy was found dead on Monday, October 10, 2016 in front of her home in Stoke-on-Trent, Daily Mail reports.
Paul Hogan, the teenager's partner was arrested but later released pending further investigation.
The great grand-mother of the deceased, Mary Garwood was devastated by the death of Macy who she described as gorgeous.
"We just can't believe it. We still don't know what happened. Her mum just phoned me up and said Macey's dead and Cody-Anne's been arrested."
"We don't see much of Cody-Anne, but we're completely shocked."
"Macey was such a gorgeous child. We're devastated", she said.

As family member deal with the shock of losing the little girl, the police have been busy carrying out more investigation aimed at uncovering the mystery.
A senior officer on the case, Detective Inspector Dan Ison said, "Our thoughts are with the little girl's family at this time."
"This is a very distressing incident and we are doing all we can to support those affected."
"A detailed investigation is under way to understand the circumstances of what has happened and police activity will continue in the area."
