Actor to star alongside Bella Thorne in YA film 'Midnight Sun'

Following in his father's footsteps, actor and model, Patrick Schwarzenegger, has landed his first major movie role.

The upcoming YA romance film 'Midnight Sun', has the actor starring alongside Bella Thorne.

Based on a 2006 Japanese film, Midnight Sun' centers on Katie, a 17-year-old, who suffers from a rare disease that makes even the smallest amount of sunlight deadly.

Her life changes as she meets Charlie (Schwarzenegger) and they embark on a summer romance.

The film which is set to begin shooting in September, will be directed by Scoot Speer.
